Think of it this way. In a case like this, it's not so much about you as the job. I see the Professor for those evaluations I mentioned because I want to be able to stay on the team. I see Jack for me, because I want to be sane.

If you feel that you don't need this for you, maybe try and take a step back and remember that you do need it for the job.
