Has anyone seen Professor Farouk since the blow up in New York? I know he was back here, so he's not missing-under-rubble missing, but I haven't seen him around for a few days now. Given he tends to haunt my doorstep for magic tutoring, it's a bit weird.

Dude, you have NO IDEA. It was rank, and whatever he was cooking was stinky enough that he smelled like it sometimes.

Well, no, 'cause I could never smell it unless something really went wrong with a potion while I was learning... Oh shite. Um, this is really important - does anyone remember anything odd going on with him? Say, over the last few months? Odder than normal, I mean.

Licorice sometimes. Uh. Lemee see what else I remember. Sage, I know there was sage, but like someone burned it with some plastic or something. Uh. I can't remember what else, but Catseye is right - it smelled like some of that stuff you used to make, but.. WAY WAY WAY WORSE. Like, your old stuff's evil twin.

WarmSnugglyFriend is better than Catseye at knowing the human names for things. Mrrt. And yes, WarmSnugglyFriend is right, the smell is worse than SmellyPotionsGirl's smells.

Well, he's sort of my student. For magic stuff. Not the practicalities, since he's got all the mystical ability of a teapot, but the history and stuff. As much as is safe knowing, any how.

Seedy-looking men, huh? With parcels. Yeah, really not liking where this is going. If I was to dig up something of Farouk's, would you mind giving me a reading as to what he's been up to for the past few months? If that's all right?

I've only gone near his room once since I've been back, and that was to give him a package that came for him.

I don't know what was in it. I left it at his door when he didn't answer, but I did smell something familiar. Kyle and Catseye are right--definitely seemed like a sage scent.

And...I just realized that they're right about the potion thing. It did smell a little like your stuff. Not overwhelming when I came through, though.
