Back from Nova Roma. Things are settling nicely there after Selene and her goons and as far as I can tell, there's no mystical influences on the place at all. Amara's people put on a pretty good party, too.

Random thought, tho' - how is it a bunch of Caucasians wound up in the middle of the jungle in Brazil? Yeah, there's a lot of Brazilian types there too, but I wonder where Selene got them all from?

I would think perhaps first that many of them were easy to disappear? And perhaps a susceptibility to having their memories erased or altered?
