Back from Nova Roma. Things are settling nicely there after Selene and her goons and as far as I can tell, there's no mystical influences on the place at all. Amara's people put on a pretty good party, too.

Random thought, tho' - how is it a bunch of Caucasians wound up in the middle of the jungle in Brazil? Yeah, there's a lot of Brazilian types there too, but I wonder where Selene got them all from?

The thing is, these people don't remember anything but Nova Roma. What if they have families out there, wondering what happened to them? Shouldn't they at least have the choice to know?

I know it meant a lot to me to find out my family had been looking for me.

There's a lot of people in Nova Roma. I find it hard to believe they all came from shitty backgrounds. Selene wasn't exactly the philanthropist type.

Not so much a conspiracy theory as what I've been trained to do - ask questions. Here you have an entire community of people, from a variety of types, living in the middle of the jungle in Brazil. How did they get there? Where did they come from? Did Selene pick them randomly, or did she have a reason?

So perhaps I'm just barking, but it seems odd, that's all. People just don't forget who they are and resettle in a cult dedicated to a life sucking whore.
