Sorry for the absence, the whole DX thing took a lot out of me. Melding with a city as long as I did, doing as much through the city as I did, especially New York... let's just say I wasn't sure whose mind I was using at the end there, mine or the city's. Apparently I've been spouting ad copy instead of talking for the past few days?

I spend three days sleeping off an overload hangover (plus eating my weight in vegetarian food) and Stuff happens. Welcome back, War.

Edit: Thanks to whoever carried me off the jet and put me to bed - I was out of it the whole way back.

Except for when I threw up. Apologies for whoever dealt with that and all. Dead cities are not good for the digestion, apparently.

Backdated to earlier this morning.

First up, apologies to Alani and the medlab folks for forgetting/not realising the whole isolation protocol meant "don't bamf directly into your little sister's hospital room". 99% of the time I wouldn't have done that, but it was Megs. I don't even remember the last time she was in medlab and I kind of lost my head. Kurt too.

And speaking of my big brother, er, sorry for trying to zap you this morning. I woke up and saw this strange blonde man asleep by her bed in a chair and just reacted. Just as well I don't have my magic right now, cause it turns out that without his powers, Kurt is blonde, blue-eyed and very much NOT BLUE. We're not sure what's going on yet, but I seem to be super strong now? At least, the chair partly stuck in the wall of Megs' room says so.

Seems like we're not the only ones with powers weirdness. Megs' empathy is gone too, but she's not only completely fine now, there no trace of the injury she had last night.

Actually, it's St Pat's, but it's the same thing. If you're in New York, Finnegan's is where the party is. Come join us with green beer and singing Irish songs at the top of your voice.

Just to let folks know that Stephen called me to let me know that he's going to stay with the Ancient One for the time being - between pre-med and magic study, he's got enough on his plate. Poor kid seemed to think I'd be mad at him; I told him he's old enough to know his own path and whatever he did he'd be fantastic at it.

Fuck, when did I get so bloody OLD? My prankster is all grown up and left the nest...

...to whoever picked up my work (and me) yesterday afternoon. After my little experiment in 'porting with a passenger, I was done in. It's also something I'm not repeating any time soon. The only reason Sarah survived it was her healing factor and the return trip was a bastard.

Back when I came to the school, Angelo was my first friend. And now he's gotten married! It's a long way from those days when we thought we wouldn't see past 20, yeah?

Just got back in after a weekend jaunt to Helsinki to recharge and check up on some potential contacts in the magic area. Helsinki's generally fairly bland, energy-wise, but it's soothing and I need that with New York and London all caterwaumpus, to quote Angie.
