Backdated to earlier this morning.

First up, apologies to Alani and the medlab folks for forgetting/not realising the whole isolation protocol meant "don't bamf directly into your little sister's hospital room". 99% of the time I wouldn't have done that, but it was Megs. I don't even remember the last time she was in medlab and I kind of lost my head. Kurt too.

And speaking of my big brother, er, sorry for trying to zap you this morning. I woke up and saw this strange blonde man asleep by her bed in a chair and just reacted. Just as well I don't have my magic right now, cause it turns out that without his powers, Kurt is blonde, blue-eyed and very much NOT BLUE. We're not sure what's going on yet, but I seem to be super strong now? At least, the chair partly stuck in the wall of Megs' room says so.

Seems like we're not the only ones with powers weirdness. Megs' empathy is gone too, but she's not only completely fine now, there no trace of the injury she had last night.

Yeah, it was major surprises all around right then, wasn't it? Everyone with "how--who--what?!" going on, and all when I'm waking up.

And hey. While I've got fangs and claws on funny toes, and neat pointy ears, and don't much care for wearing shoes now, it's nothing too weird to wake up with on the grand scale of superpowers. (And there's some heightened vision and hearing and smell, but it isn't overwhelming)

I do miss my empathy, and I'm also really glad I wasn't somewhere underwater or something when all of this decided to kick in.

Who knew that every major appliance we own would fall apart or short out all at once? Might not consider anything in the fridge as more than a potential adventure.

The thing with my mutant powers - and yours too, I imagine - is that they power the magic, but they don't give you the magic. That takes learning and study. So Rogue could probably have gotten magic along with my mutant power by touching me - since she would get memories as well as powers - but this seems to be just a straight swap of powers.

Whoever got my powers, sorry about that. It's going to be a bit less exciting than some.
