So, first day back at school and I managed to go to every class I had, realise just how far behind I am, and get more homework than I thought was possible. I've lined up Kitty's help on Wednesday, but she's better with the numbers than the letters - any one up for giving me a hand with english grammer? And history, and geography...

Self defence is actually starting to be more interesting too. I realised just before I left for England that what I know is only any good if there's only one of them or I've got me back to something. And the magic ain't supposed to be used to hurt people, except when there's nothing else to be done. Bad enough I get taken down by Pete's soldier mates, but a couple of wankers from town was the last straw. Even if they had the advantage of me being out of it at the time.
