Taking things personally
Sep. 17th, 2004 10:47 amOr trying not to, in my case.
Sorry if I upset anyone last night. It was a bad day and reading the journals made it worse - which sucks, since the journals are one of the things I use to distract myself when I need distracting. Some of what was being said hit a little too close to home, and I should have realised it wasn't aimed at anyone in particular.
I'm not the only one who took it too personally, but I probably shouldn't have as much as I did. Chalk it up to a crappy day and still-dodgy reading skills.
In the meantime, I'm going to keep off these things for a while. They don't do my head any good. Think I'll go down by the lake and get some fresh air during my study break, spend the weekend working on Strange's stuff. I'd like a change of scenery, but that's not coming for a while.
