Hello, strangers

Good thing I had ID on me, or I wouldn't have gotten past the bloke at the door. Long time, no see.

So, back from Berlin with a bunch of stuff for Elpis, a deep and eternal hatred of bureaucrats and a shiny new passport in my shiny new official name. But before people start wondering what to call me, not to fret, I'm still "Amanda Sefton". It's just official now.

For those looking right confused at the screen, here's the cliff notes: got taken from my birth family as a nipper, acquired the Amanda Sefton along the way, then found my birth family again a couple of years ago. One of which is your very own teleporting blue German and gymnastics teacher.

The thing is? People set all this stock in blood, but it's the family that isn't related to me that are the ones that stuck by me. Which includes that teleporting blue teacher again. For various reasons, I decided that I didn't want to be Gemile Szardos any more. It's someone I haven't been since I was two, and lately it's not someone I want to be. So, as of last Monday, I'm not. I just need to send some stuff to the US authorities via Ms. Frost's legal eagles, to officially change things visa-wise, and it's done.

But I never want to have to do that much paperwork ever again.
