I believe that may be my doing; I had not expected that anyone here would be able to sense such things, so I did not explain in my post, although I made Xavier Rinpoche aware of these matters on the flight here.

I am not trained as a mystic myself--that was my wife's province, and my teacher's, and certain others among the monks--but Zz'ria Rinpoche did bless my swords, and you may be sensing that blessing. It is nothing that should prove dangerous to any here, on my honor, and--the Professor, as seems to be his title here--has given me to understand that they be kept securely within my room, and this I have done.

No harm done - my mutant power is to absorb energy from mystic objects and places and occasionally the odd person, so it goes hand-in-hand with being able to sense it. Thanks for letting me know, and there's no danger to your swords (swords blessed by a mystic monk? I wouldn't be wrong in guessing they destroy evil or something, would I?), since objects are a lot easier for me to not absorb than places, as long as the charge isn't too big. Yours ain't, so we're all good.

Oh, um, and in case you're wondering, or hear something odd... I'm a witch. I use the power I absorb to cast spells and such. At least if you have experience with mysticism, I don't have to explain the whole 'magic is real' part. ;)

No, that you certainly won't. :)

And your guess is essentially correct, although I would not have been concerned about danger to them in any case. It is not their nature to be absorbed.

Just making sure... It sounds like the swords are important to you, and I wouldn't want to have worried you or anything.

And I have to say, you've got me even more curious now. Once you're settled in some, maybe you could tell me about this place? My magic tutor's into Eastern mysticism and all, and he's been pushing a lot of that stuff onto me, plus the European pagan traditions I got from the woman who sent me here...

Once I have settled in, I would be happy to talk about the monastery with you--although I should warn you, it was very old, and its tale is therefore very long; Zz'ria my teacher only moved it to Switzerland a few decades ago, out of necessity.

Perhaps, but not yet. I am still finding my feet here, and I do not know if Professor Xavier would consider it appropriate. There is still much I have yet to learn about this new world.
