I just got this email from Doug saying that if I'm reading it he's dead, but that can't be right, can it? Please, can someone tell us what happened? He's not actually dead, is he?

No, Amanda, he is not dead. He has severe bruising from the bullet and CPR, but he is stable and will be fine.

Thank Christ for that. What the hell happened? His email said something about Rahne getting killed if he didn't go to the blood drive, and Angie's visions...

As far as we can piece together, Doug was trying to protect Rahne, presumably knowing what was to happen.

That if I was reading it he was probably dead. That he'd seen in Angie's notes that something was going to happen at the blood drive, and that if he didn't go, it would mean Rahne would be shot and killed, and that was why he couldn't say anything, since people would stop him going. Something about a plan. And to look after Angie for him.
