Um, help?

Anyone know anything that gets marker out of fur? Meggan decided colouring pictures wasn't enough. It's an interesting effect with the green jelly over all...

You weren't using the watercolor ones from the kid's playset? Because that should have done it.

Otherwise, I think just washing a bit should work.

I'm clearly going crazy

I swear when I wrote that it made sense. That should say "because soap and water should do it".

If it doesn't, try rubbing alcohol. Or hair spray.

And actually milk works to get it off skin.

Although self-application of all three simultaneously is not recommended, especially if you then proceed to kick over the rubbing alcohol and the milk. Word to the wise.

Uh oh. They're not the Prismacolors are they? We always get yelled at when we have to buy more.

I'm going to be optimistic and hope they were just sharpies.

If they are, they'll clean up pretty easily too.

It's just marker. Won't hurt her. I once colored my hair black with a marker because I didn't want it to be red anymore and see, no harm expect for this persistent accent.

Heh. My mom thought the Discovery Channel would make a nice safe distraction one day while she did some laundry. Of course, they were doing a special on the Maori . . .

Oh! and you drew all the tribal symbols everywhere? There was a girl who did that back home. Her arms would be covered from fingertip to shoulder. Her mother always yelled at the teacher for it.

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2005-05-27 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I wouldn't so much say tribal symbols as random squiggles in as many colors as I could manage. I wanted to improve on what I'd seen on the TV.

I don't think my mom left me alone in a room again until I went off to kindergarten. :)

Aye, hers weren't so much knots as they were lots of criss-crossing lines.

Your poor mum.

Nah, I doubt we have any toxic markers just lying around. Too many munchkins running around with grabby hands for that.

Jet black. Like Shiro's hair. It was horrid and my face got all streaked too.

Kitty probably has pictures of it, come to think.

Have somewhere, yes. I remember that. Storm was really funny and sarcastic about it. Something to the effect that hair dye was faster and safer and left you with more time to finish your homework. And then it didn't wash out evenly and you had funny black stripes in your hair...

[identity profile] x-siryn.livejournal.com 2005-05-27 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
And it turned that ashy grey colour.

Took forever to grow out too but Storm wouldn't let me just dye it back or cut it off.

Teachers and their blasted "object lessons".

(Kidding, Ms. Munroe...)

I don't know if it'll work on fur, but I've had some success using non-gel toothpaste to get it off skin. :)

If none of the other solutions work, I have skin and hair safe paint remover that may. I should warn you, however, it smells terrible.

Actually, it smells worse than terrible. Possibly it smells worse than worse than terrible, even.
