At least England wasn't expected to do anything because of the group they were in. Italy and Spain were expected to do so much better. And Italy would have done so much better if the ref in the last game hadn't been a complete knobhead.

Besides, London has Wimbledon now, and the nation can get all optimistic again about Andy Murray repeating his win from last year.
