Since the secret's out, there's no point in trying to hide it any more. Alison, any chance we could go shopping tomorrow afternoon after I get back from Stonewall? There's a swimsuit that needs buying - learning to swim in shorts and t-shirt is bloody difficult. Just... nothing too skimpy, all right? Hell will freeze over before I ever get into a bikini.

I know - no accounting for some people's lack of ears. ;)

Taking the mickey - means, pulling your leg. Taking the piss. I used to do the BBC thing when I wanted to put people off balance. They look at me and expect the rough language and accent, so sometimes I like to switch and keep them on their toes. And besides, "fuck" sounds funny when you say it all prim and proper.

I am told that 'fuck' sounds hilarious with my accent. At least, Doug seems to think so.

One of the joys of being multi-lingual is variety in swear words.

I think if I swore more often, it would confuse people.

I think if I used that word more often, it would confuse -certain- people.

On a small scale? Swearing does a lot of good.

Keeping them on their toes does a lot for making things happen, I've found recently.

Well, I've toned it down a bit. I haven't sworn in class for... a couple of weeks, at least. *grins* Except Art with Logan, and he didn't seem the type to mind. Not like you-know-who.

Um, 'bloody', 'bugger' and 'hell' don't count as swear words, do they?

And yeah, I saw just how on his toes someone was with using that icon. Nice. *grins* You need somewhere quiet, let me know. I'm willing to share my hidey-hole. ;) And hey, look, Doug's head just caught fire from the blushing... ;)
