Not a frog in sight...
Jun. 8th, 2004 07:14 pmManuel survived his meeting with Rom, tho' he won't tell me what happened. And he's a bit grumpy at me for 'abandoning' him like I did - Aspen (Homily's daughter, a bit older than me, but about the same level magically) wanted to take me to this new magic shop in Camden, to see if what they were claiming was a Haitian fertility statue was the the genuine article or not - my power's handy that way, I can tell if mystical objects are actually what they're claimed to be, or if they were knocked up in someone's back shed. It wasn't, by the way - that's one shop that's just lost a lot of profit.
But yeah, no turning into frogs. Or newts, or anything else, for that matter. And now we're off to Soho for historical reenactments of European history. In a pub.

Re: ...
Date: 2004-06-09 07:52 pm (UTC)Oooooh my.
I would offer the services of France's armies, but sadly, France's armies have no interest in even coming anywhere NEAR Spain's idea of punishment for war crimes.
What kind of dress?
Re: ...
Date: 2004-06-09 07:57 pm (UTC)I have no idea. The bet was that the winner picks the place and type of dress code for a date sometime, so knowing Manny, it'll be somewhere fancy that needs me to dress up. Gah. I was sure I couldn't lose, and on me own turf, too.
Re: ...
Date: 2004-06-09 08:10 pm (UTC)Does Manny get to pick the dress too?
Re: ...
Date: 2004-06-09 08:14 pm (UTC)Yes, Manny gets to choose the dress as well. Which is why the feeling of impending doom.
I would gloat...
Date: 2004-06-10 05:22 am (UTC)I have many, many possibilities available to me. What to choose, what to choose?
Manuel
Doesn't stop you feeling it anyway...
Date: 2004-06-10 07:01 pm (UTC)Doomed. Definitely doomed.
I do not gloaty-dance.
Date: 2004-06-10 07:03 pm (UTC)Yes, I believe that's the way to go.
Manuel
You might not, but your feelings do...
Date: 2004-06-10 07:24 pm (UTC)Quite.
Date: 2004-06-10 07:28 pm (UTC)Manuel

Date: 2004-06-10 09:29 pm (UTC)But it is really, really funny. I am sorry, I can't stop laughing.
What would you have done to Manuel if he had lost?
Neither can he. Stop laughing, that is.
Date: 2004-06-10 09:39 pm (UTC)It wouldn't have been _that_ bad for him if he's lost. Punk club, getting him out of the dress pants and shirts, and um, well, I'll stop there. *eg*
Re: Neither can he. Stop laughing, that is.
Date: 2004-06-10 09:47 pm (UTC)The world might end.

Date: 2004-06-10 09:59 pm (UTC)This is me being very glad you are across the ocean so I cannot be turned into a small lizard.
Lucky for you I am.
Date: 2004-06-10 10:08 pm (UTC)It was, wasn't it? *grins*
Re: Lucky for you I am.
Date: 2004-06-10 10:13 pm (UTC)I could hide?
Re: Lucky for you I am.
Date: 2004-06-10 10:18 pm (UTC)I'm allowed the odd lapse, aren't I? Especially whilst hungover?
Re: Lucky for you I am.

Date: 2004-06-10 09:59 am (UTC)Spain is usually sneaky. Do not play poker with Spain.
At least he has good fashion sense. VERY good fashion sense, in many cases.
The Grand Inquisitor...
Date: 2004-06-10 05:21 am (UTC)But since Spain is nursing a hangover the size of the Armada, and England just threw up all over the bathroom, I'd say that the issue can just wait until both nations have recovered.

Date: 2004-06-11 12:24 pm (UTC)And Spain has pleasant memories of his time spent on French soil, even though the circumstances were ... dubious.
