Have been worried about him.~

~It is coming easier, with practice. I think I require some more knowledge of the culture, since my words are very formal and not at all what I am accustomed to. There wasn't time or resources to for me to have everything - Nate was being a large silly man and I wasn't able to assist without knowing the language. He sleeps now.

~I am glad that it is getting easier. And yes, a knowledge of Askani culture helps a lot with understanding. I am very glad that Nathan is sleeping. Elder brother was indeed being a large silly man. Domino and I spoke to him the other night, and I was worried that he was not sleeping.

And yes, there is a definite lack of swears in Askani. I think it may have something to do with the inherent formality of the language. However, there are a large variety of creative imprecations without ever resorting to swear words. Those are fun. Can start teaching you some, if you want some ammunition to use on Nathan.~

Jamie, here's a quick translation. Amanda failed math, but she has a chance to take the...I think final exam, if I'm translating correct. She has a chance to retake it, and she needs help studying. Since Kitty and I aren't there, and Paige is...otherwise occupied, you're the best choice. Besides, you are good at explaining things. When the other person can understand English, anyway... :)

Nathan had lost his ability to speak English as well, and so the Askani couldn't speak through him using English. Amanda didn't have much of a choice, if she wanted to be able to help him.
