Ten hours. In a plane. Where you can't smoke. Kill me now.

At least I had plenty to read - still working my way through the disks a certain bastard gave me. Marie-Ange, if George suddenly disappears, don't panic, it's because I managed to find his off switch. Tho' I doubt I could do it long-distance. And it's a hell of a long distance.

Paris feels very mellow, which isn't surprising considering it's the city of love. Mellow and warm and kind of tingly. Johannesburg, on the other hand... earthy. Old. The city itself is very English - not surprising, considering the people who built it were from Jolly Old - and on the surface it's got a similar vibe to New York or Chicago. Underneath, tho', it's a whole other thing. Something deeper and older, like Cairo.

Enough powers wank. Got a meeting to go to. And nicotine to catch up on.

London is a very old city. It dates from at least the time of Christ. I can see why it would feel like an old city - it is one.

You do realize I will probably provide you with an endless amount of history about any city you ask for? Part and parcel of taking history as my minor, and having to research and study old buildings.

I imagine Rome itself would probably have energy as well, and perhaps Athens, though Athens is ... I think smaller than London by half in population. Does the size of the city matter, have you found, or just the age?

Though, I suppose it would have to be size to some degree. New York is a very new city, compared to places like London. Perhaps both?

When you and Doug get back, we should try to compare city populations and age and geographical size and see if we can predict something.

I have no idea how to go about starting this sort of thing - this is much more of Doug's specality than mine, and the sheer magnitude is giving me a headache.

That or the visions are starting up again. . I do not suppose that mirrors bordered in bone and ivory and ebony wood mean anything to you?

We may also want to talk to Wanda - I imagine she has been to most of these cities, and while I know or can easily find the historical information, she has a closer knowledge about the socities and cultures.
