Yes, I know I was late yesterday. I'll be in... um. Once the tow truck gets here? I sort of had a bit of a slide out and ended up in a handy ditch. I'm fine, nothing broken or bruised, except my pride and my reputation as a driver. I'm still not exactly sure what happened - must have hit a patch of ice or something.

And here I was running on time and everything. Bah.

Is there still ice out there? I'm glad you're okay, though. Forge is still out, but if you really need a mechanic I'm pretty sure the school's got an autobody shop on speed-dial. (Probably next to the contractors and bulk furniture-replacement services.)

There has to be ice, since I slid out on it, yeah? And at this point I'm closer to NY than I am to the school, so it's easier if I wait for the truck. Car looks all right, it's just getting it out of the ditch, but I'll keep that in mind if it's anything more than a few dents and a slightly-loose muffler.

Thank god for the PDA, tho', or I'd be bored silly waiting... oh, here's the bloke now.

I didn't realize there was any ice left out on the roads...glad to hear you're ok. Call me when your hands are a little less full to touch in? And are we on for Friday at your place? I know your schedule is a little different now.

"A little different" is one way to describe my schedule, yeah. *wry* Might be we end up at your place on Friday, tho' my co-workers are whispering in corners and looking sneaky, which means I could be looking at being sent somewhere Away at short notice. I'll give you a call and let you know.
