Time to 'fess up.

Um, yeah, the bang and the stench and the turning people green was me. I'm really sorry, I've done that spell a few times now and never had any problems, but I s'pose I didn't have the handle on it I thought. Any way, the smell's all gone from the library, and I've cleaned up down there (which is why no word from me 'til now) and I'm about to call Rom and see if there's anything I can do to un-green people. Including me. I look like a fucking dryad right now. If there isn't, it should wear off in a day or two.

Oh, and I'm fine, by the way. The bang was all noise and no actual flash.

I'm really sorry. I don't know what happened.

*grins* I'm just hoping I haven't given anyone library phobia now... Hell, I've got library phobia, after all that cleaning. I'm surprised Shan hasn't done something horrible to me yet.

Not hurting the books is definitely a good thing. And hey, that might be a useful piece of information right there - the smoke, whatever it was, only affected animal material (can have just been live material, as everybody's hair changed color, too.)
